Days of my 2024.

 Hi I’m Kartikey, I’m undergrade student in ECE. Currently I’m in final year, So, this year is rushing days between jobs, skills and semesters. Everyone seeking their own ways where to go from now, the whole classmates are running in cattle of jobs in it sector which is not bad, everyone has own challenges in terms of money, marry and family ages.

In back Jan 24 me and close friends were exploring any internship, workshops and summer training we both scrolled tons of IITS websites, for any opportunity. From my side I was set back due to costs its arounds 10k to 15k. These costs are much for me. But I go to my parents and tell about that I am interested in that summer training in IIITA. And I tell them, that this is the last chance to gain some skills in technology. And next day they provide 9k and I send to my friend at night he filled forms and documents.

Whole 6 Sem I was super excited to sit in that institution. I remembered that, it was AWP paper, after the paper I moved to that campus, for collecting my entry card and a bag. That was turning point of my traditional engineering. I was so excited about that, but I did not explore much about. I reached daily before 1 hour class. Then I usually go to library and see what is different between me and them. It’s pretty true the content are very awesome they consuming fantastic new technology. Basically, they are Integrated with industry.

So back to my way, the days were very good in that institution, the only thing I regret that I was too late to joined that course. Amazing thing is that what I learned in my b-tech was totally old. They are really designing the processor, chips and devices. What I was learned in before my semester, only solving KVL in circuits that solve. So, I utilized each second very carefully. I was engaged with prof and lab assistance for what they doing and what campus capability.

I get very good knowledge in analog and digital designing, I was not good in early efficient learning guy, so I rushed to do something, a analog prof was awesome I was very pleased with him. So, I most inclined toward analog part but not reach to final design. But I told to my friend, that I took the prize in any case, so I done digital work and with help of m-tech guy specially they helped us a lot. They are too helpful and responsible for our win, so we got best project award in digital IC design and hp 64 GB pen drive and some photo shoot , those day were super cool.

After this training I was super charged with semiconductor mean while in that time I was also parallelly joined gate preparation where, I enriched with some good persons they teach how to solve the questions as well as they taught about what the journey they traveled in field of semiconductors. In the whole year of 2024, I take part in each tech conferences from Semi Con India, Indian mobile congress, startup India at IITD, Energy week and Tech summit 2024.  

 

I was just experimenting myself where I fit in tech industry. Then I come with a conclusion I had two choices one do m-tech and 2 one is to pivot myself in some manufacturing job and after experience jump to start build something. In recent few months ago, I get a manufacturing job as operating engineer, in meantime I also get a intern in IIT Ropar in hardware design in Agri-tech, human cannot do stuffs in two location. 

So, I talk to HR to allow me for one month and he allow me to take that, so in that I moved to IIT Ropar, it was too cold, the campus was near the station and highway, I entered the first campus where I show my email and letter, then with a bus I moved to main campus where my hostel and entry pass were made and then I meet to my team at IHUB center for innovation cell. After few days gate exam are very close so I told them that did not do anything in a week, so they are allow me and some other students who are from Delhi and Pune to take our exams. 

So, I returned at 5 Feb till that my one exam was relocated, so I missed that. Next was at 15 so I take it, till now I working with IHUB online with 8k/month. But my parents are not allowing me to do more in this. Because, this is not work for long period. Work is good, there’s lots of people who are doing awesome work in semiconductor, renewable, and robotic.
